The design-build project for Volvo Car USA is the new, state-of-the-art Volvo Cars America Technical and Training Center. Located in Mahwah, the building is LEED Gold Certified, featuring solar panels and high-efficiency HVAC system, and housing a multi-vehicle workshop and classrooms. As Volvo is in its transition to an all-electric brand by 2030, the facility will be the central point for Volvo's electric vehicle training activity in the Western Hemisphere, where Volvo service technicians learn the latest diagnostic and service techniques.
The training center is located on the same campus as the Volvo Cars America headquarters building and the area is also being outfitted with 50 electric vehicle charging stations for employees and visitors.
