Construction Junior Estimator

This position is responsible for planning and executing the bid/proposal process, identifying value engineering opportunities and building our network or valued trade partners.

Responsibilities

  • Read and thoroughly understand plans and specifications with the ability to create detailed scopes of work for each trade of work.

  • Ability to perform quantity and unit take-offs to validate sub-contractor proposals and as required to produce schematic budgets.

  • Prepare bid packages for distribution to subcontractors.

  • Identifying potential subcontractors and analyze and level subcontractor’s quotations.

  • Clarify bid documents and issue RFI’s.

  • Draft proposal documents for review and approval by ownership.

  • Provide value engineering cost savings options for consideration by our clients.

  • Coordination with client representatives, architects, engineers, construction managers, and consultants to establish project requirements, budget, specifications, and schedules.

  • Collaboration with project management team.

  • Maintain & build trade partner relationships.

  • Provide & maintain master cost database.

Requirements

  1. 4-year (BS) degree in engineering, architecture, and/or construction management or equivalent

  2. 3 years of “ground up” and “interior” general construction estimating/project management experience with a proven record of success.

  3. A positive attitude and desire to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

  4. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously.

  5. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project.

  6. Strong communication and analytical skills.

  7. Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize.

  8. Utilize value engineering and sustainable design concepts to improve value and efficiency for our clients.

  9. Must be able to meet deadlines and objectives.
  10. Knowledge of Building Connected, Procore, BlueBeam and OnScreen TakeOff

Marketing & Office Assistant (Part-Time)

We are seeking a fast-paced, self-motivated individual to perform general office, sales and marketing duties.  Some knowledge of construction and or design is a plus.

 

Candidate must have strong B2B marketing skills, in-depth knowledge of LinkedIn, email marketing, web page content creation, and managing case studies, white papers and news/blog projects.

Requirements & General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Website on Wix- create graphics, write content for web pages and blogs.

  • Develop and manage email marketing using Constant Contact or equivalent.

  • Develop and maintain social media campaigns on LinkedIn.

  • Manage, create and upload artwork/graphics.

  • Cold calling to strategic businesses to build relationships.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM.

  • Develop and maintain sales materials and letters.

  • Must be detail oriented with exceptional follow up technique.

  • Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills and have in-depth knowledge in dealing with people.

  • This person must exhibit the ability to work independently and meet objectives.

  • Light office duties and administrative support.

  • Must be dependable, able to follow direction, and prioritize, as well as streamline procedures and functions.

  • Must be able to work in a web based environment—very little paper and a lot of computer time.

  • Some light driving in central NJ to take project photos.

  • Must have laptop.

  • Attend Zoom meetings

  

This position will require some office time and project visits in Central NJ, however is primarily a work from home position at this time. Flexible schedule and hours. 10-20 hours per week.

Estimating Coordinator/ Construction Admin

Stone Creek Construction Group is looking for an Estimating Coordinator/Construction Admin to support our estimating department. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years office experience, possess excellent communication skills, is a self-starter, and multitasker that thrives in a fast-paced work environment. The estimating coordinator will maintain bid calendars, manage sub-contractor communication & bids, manage RFI’s,  prepare leveling sheets, create bid documents, and facilitate the final pricing for presentation.

Requirements & General Responsibilities:

  • Manage all bid calendars

  • Manage weekly estimating meeting with upper management

  • Manage Procore Pre-Construction Module

  • Upload plans and specifications

  • Manage and maintain sub-contractor database

  • Evaluate and build new relationships with subcontractors

  • Manage and obtain scope of work documents

  • Manage and obtain estimating take offs

  • Communicate with vendors for pricing and proposals

  • Manage over all company cost database

  • Create and maintain proposal folders with all updates and documents on Drop Box & Procore

  • Enter subcontractor and vendor pricing in Procore and on leveling sheets

  • Create initial project schedules

  • Prepare proposal documents

  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates, requests for proposals and budgets

  • Provide assistance with compiling marketing materials

  • Assist with awarded project setup in Procore

  • Manage AIA contract documents

  • Assist in awarded project kick-off meetings with Project Delivery Team
